New year’s celebrations will begin in Russia on Monday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has been urging people to put aside personal problems, and to focus on celebrating new years with friends and family.
As of this writing, Putin has posted more than a million images of New Year’s decorations, including more than 100 million of balloons.
