CHICAGO — New Year eve fireworks will be set off around Chicago from 3:45 p.m.
CST and last for about an hour.
There are also a number of special activities that are expected to go on during the fireworks show.
The National Guard will be on hand to guard the city from natural disasters and the National Guard has also been asked to be on the ground at the park to help keep it safe.
It’s expected to be one of the most-watched nights of the year.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the fireworks are a celebration of the holidays and he hopes that everyone will join in.
People will be able to take a walk around the park, have a drink, watch the fireworks and take pictures.
It will be an event that will be a special night for Chicagoans.
